Cancer Genetic Counseling

At our Cancer Genetics Clinic, we help answer questions about the risk of genetic cancers. A genetic evaluation can help clarify whether a patient and family members have a higher risk of developing certain types of cancer. Evaluations may also suggest actions that can be taken to prevent cancer. Services are provided by a team of board-certified medical geneticists and genetic counselors.

Cancer Registry

Knowledge is one of the best weapons against cancer. At UCI Medical Center, we gather information about the types of cancer that occur in our patients, the extent of the disease and its response to therapy. As an official cancer registry within a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, we carefully record and report data that is used to monitor and improve our nation's public health and cancer care programs.
