The Cancer Clinical Trials Bootcamp (CCTB) is an intensive 16-week program that equips clinical faculty and fellows with the skills needed to systematically design and write cancer investigator-initiated trial (IIT) protocols. At the start of the program, participants present two trial ideas for development. By the program’s conclusion, participants will submit a fully developed protocol for at least one of these ideas. The program features eight biweekly, two-hour, in-person sessions led by senior Cancer Center investigators. Each session combines a 45-minute didactic lecture with one hour of group mentorship focused on protocol development. Between sessions, participants apply what they’ve learned by completing biweekly assignments and drafting protocol components, culminating in submission of a fully developed protocol at the end of the program.
