At the program’s outset, each participant presents at least two cancer-related investigator-initiated clinical trial ideas for development. Participants meet every other Wednesday for eight 2-hour sessions led by CFCCC investigators. Each session includes a 45-minute didactic lecture followed by 1-hour of “at elbow” mentorship focused on the participant’s protocol development. Following each session, participants apply learned concepts to systematically write protocol components with the goal of submitting a written protocol for at least one of their cancer clinical trial ideas by the program’s conclusion.
